Roland Gissing Watercolour
This piece was sold at auction in Calgary.

This came from a Victoria B.C. Estate Clearance I was involved in clearing out.
It is a very early and really excellent example of Mr. Roland Gissings watercolour technique.
The scene looks to be Lake Louise in Alberta's Rocky Mountains....

1924 to 1930 was the  period of his watercolour output...in 1930 he started working with oils.

In nearly every one of these shots I got some reflection...either me or the background. Not to worry...the piece is clean and very nice.

It needs archival backing and matting....so, I'd be happy to pop the frame and glass off and send this much safer and easier.

If you want the frame to re-frame this as it was but with updated materials...no problem, I can send it as well.

  Frame size is 18 3/8" by 20 3/8".

 Image size is 8 3/4" by 10 3/4".

My client is looking to get in the $2250 CDN range for the rare early work by a truely Canadian Artist.
